SCHOLARSHIPS
The Fredericton Community Foundation Inc. has several funds that offer scholarships every year. Below is a list of these scholarships. Please call our office if you require more information.

Annual scholarship to student at Fredericton High School and at Leo Hayes High School.

BILL MCCAULEY MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP
Annual scholarship to student at Leo Hayes High School.

SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED THROUGH THE UNIVERSITIES:
TIMMY MUNN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships are awarded annually in memory of Timmy Munn, who died in 1995. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of athletic ability, academic performance, and financial need. Recipients will have graduated from a local high school and attend a local college or university. To apply, forward a letter of application with an official transcript to: Fredericton Sports Investment (1990) Inc., 117 York St., Fredericton, NB, E3B 3N6
Selection by Munn Scholarship Committee. Deadline for applications is May 31st.
MARIANNE LIMPERT SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is for a Fredericton High School, Leo Hayes High School, Oromocto High School or Ecole Sainte-Anne graduate pursuing post-secondary studies and continuing to swim competitively. Applications are available at the high schools or from Fredericton Aquanaut Swim Team members. The Scholarship is payable following the commencement of the 2nd semester in January and upon receipt of the successful candidate’s grades from the university.

REG WHEATON GOLF SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is for a Fredericton High School, Leo Hayes High School, Oromocto High School or Ecole Sainte-Anne graduate pursuing post-secondary studies. Applications for this annual scholarship will be received at The Fredericton Community Foundation Inc. office up to August 31st of each year. Criteria and applications are available from your club pro or from the Foundation Office (506-454-2262). The Scholarship is payable following the commencement of the 2nd semester in January and upon receipt of the successful candidate’s grades from the university.

THOMAS WASHBURN SCHOLARSHIP
Thomas Washburn graduated from Fredericton High School and studied engineering at the University of Waterloo in Ontario. He was killed while working in Saudi Arabia in May 2004. To create a lasting memorial to Thom, friends, family and organizations have donated to the Thomas Washburn Memorial Scholarship Fund. Applicants must have graduated from a Fredericton area school and are planning to study engineering at a Canadian university. After each term is completed, the student will send the transcript of his or her marks to the Scholarship Committee. ALDEN R. CLARK SCHOLARSHIP (IODE)
Open to full time Fredericton campus students who have completed at least the normal requirements for the second year of the degree program in which they are registered at the University and are graduates of a New Brunswick High School. Selections are made on the basis of scholastic attainment and financial need.

M.A.CROWELL NURSING SCHOLARSHIP
This is an Annual Scholarship awarded to a female student who is a graduate of Leo Hayes High School, Fredericton High School or Ecole Ste Anne, has just completed the requirements of the first year of the Bachelor of Nursing degree program on the Fredericton campus and is beginning the second year of the program. Selection will be based on scholastic attainment and financial need.
Selection by UNB Scholarship Committee.
FREDERICTON COMMUNITY FOUNDATION (UNB) SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to a Fredericton campus student who is a graduate of Harvey High School, Stanley High School, Oromocto High School, Leo Hayes High School, Fredericton High School or Ecole Ste Anne and is beginning a degree program at UNB. Selections are made primarily on the basis of scholastic attainment and financial need. Consideration will be given to the student's contribution in extra-curricular activities.

FREDERICTON COMMUNITY FOUNDATION (STU) SCHOLARSHIP
Annual scholarship to residents of the City of Fredericton entering St. Thomas University. Selections are made primarily on the basis of scholastic attainment and financial need. Consideration will be given to contribution to extracurricular activities.

OTHER:
COUNCIL OF THE ARTS FREDERICTON PERFORMING ARTS SCHOLARSHIP
The Council of the Arts Fredericton (CAF) Performing Arts Scholarship was created in 2007 by Council of the Arts Fredericton. The CAF Scholarship will be awarded annually in the amount of $5,000. Eligibility for this scholarship includes:
- Candidates must be residents of the greater Fredericton area.
- Candidates must have been accepted as students in a recognized program in the performing arts. The field of study must involve performance or production.
- Proof of registration in the program of study will be required before funds are distributed.
- The CAF Performing Arts Scholarship may be awarded to a student at the secondary, post-secondary or graduate level.\
Application deadline is August 31st.

JOHN A. PAGE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in a program at the New Brunswick Community College. Their home address must be York or Carleton County and they must be enrolled in a two-year or more, program that will lead to a career.
Selection by NBCC Scholarship Committee.
FREDERICTON COMMUNITY FOUNDATION (NBCC) SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in a program at the New Brunswick Community College. Their home address must be York or Carleton County and they must be enrolled in a two-year or more, program that will lead to a career.
Selection by NBCC Scholarship Committee.
PROVINCIAL ARTISANS BURSARY
Provincial Artisans’ bursaries and scholarships are awarded annually to successful recipients with disabilities meeting the necessary criteria. These being:
• entering or already attending a university, college or other educational institute;
• extent of disability;
• academic performance;
• academic dedication;
• financial need;
• community involvement;
• resident of New Brunswick.
Final submission for applications is May 31st. Notification to successful candidates is by June 30 of the current year with cheques being sent upon receipt of confirmation from the educational institution that tuition has been paid.
