Grant Recipients - August 2007
New Brunswick Choral Federation: This grant is for a Workshop with Canadian Composer, Stephen Hatfield.
OPAL Family Services: This grant is for the Seniors Network Planning Program. This program assists families with disabled children in developing a “good life” plan for the children after the parents are no longer able to care for them.
St. Paul’s United Church: This grant is for their Restoration Capital Fund Campaign. Funds will be used for masonry, stone and stained glass window reparation.
Fredericton Therapeutic Riding Association: This grant is for Rider Fee Subsidization and Instructor-In-Training Development. Funds will be used to subsidize fees and offer additional lessons to accommodate individuals on their waiting list.
Theatre New Brunswick: This grant is for the Theatre School production of a High School Musical. Funds will be used to purchase materials required to build the set pieces.
The Fredericton Playhouse: This grant is for the Stages of Learning program which provides demonstrations or workshops for schools (either at the school or the students are bused to the Playhouse. Funds will be used to subsidize the cost of tickets for students.
Children’s International Summer Village (CISV): This grant will assist with the costs of hosting the 2008 International Camp – A CISV Village. This is a 4 week camp for 11 year olds from 12 countries.
City of Fredericton – Green Matters Campaign: These funds are for the Green on the Green – a day long public awareness event. Funds will be used for exhibitor and seminar venues, advertising entertainment and educational activities for children.
Chimo Helpline Inc.: This grant is for their Volunteer Training Program. Funds will assist with the recruitment and training of new volunteers in suicide/crisis intervention skills.
Notable Acts Theatre Company: This grant is for the purchase of wireless microphones. These microphones will be used for indoor and outdoor performances.
Multicultural Association of Fredericton Inc.: This grant is for the expansion of their Self-Esteem, Full Participation and Leadership for Newcomer Youth course. This course will assist approximately 40 newcomer immigrant and refugee youths (aged 15 – 21) from 10 countries.
