NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2017 IMPACT GRANTS
This year, we will be disbursing approximately $35,000 in Impact Grants. We will make a decision based on the applications received as to whether we award the total of $35,000 in one, two or three grants. All applicants will follow the same application process as outlined below. Applicants may submit applications for grants ranging from $10,000 to $35,000. Applicants who qualify for the interview stage should be prepared to provide details about how receiving an amount less than what they applied for will impact their program/project. (For example, if the applicant applied for $20,000, they must be prepared to indicate how receiving a grant of $10,000 or $15,000 would impact their program/project.)
The purpose of these grants are to provide funds for projects or programs that will have a positive impact on the community and that would not occur without the Foundation’s grant. The IMPACT GRANT will be a significant component of the project’s overall budget, but preference will be given to projects that are able to leverage funds from other sources as a result of the Foundation’s grant.
The FCF areas of interest are arts & culture, heritage, youth, environment, health & wellness, educational, athletics, community or social development.
If your organization is a registered Charity with CRA, and you have a proposal for an initiative geared toward a positive impact in one of these areas, you are invited to apply to the Fredericton Community Foundation no later than the third Wednesday of September.
The application process is in 2 stages:
STAGE 1: On or before the third Wednesday of September you must submit 10 copies of the following:
a) a brief description (2 pages maximum) of your project, including anticipated community impact, and potential partnerships as well as projected costs;
b) a completed application form which can be obtained here, and
c) your most recent financial statement.
STAGE 2: Upon review of the applications, the Grantmaking Committee will select one or more finalists and ask each finalist to make a presentation to the Committee. The Committee may contact the finalists ahead of time to request specific information.
