Fredericton Community Foundation provides $160,000 in funding to 35 Charities

Fredericton, NB – April 26, 2021 – The Fredericton Community Foundation announced today that it has provided over $160,000 to support 37 programs or projects at 35 different charities in the greater Fredericton region. As part of the annual Community Grants process, these awards were provided to support organizations to deliver essential programming to those who need it the most.

“We hope to impact the lives of over 22,000 individuals through this funding,” says Germaine Pataki-Thériault, Chair of the Grant Making Committee at the Fredericton Community Foundation. “Local charities and non-profit organizations have been working tirelessly to support those who need it most right now. This funding is a much-needed boost to these efforts.”

The Fredericton Community Foundation received 56 applications for funding during their most recent process. This equated to over $350,000 in requests to support local programs and initiatives working to support complex social issues in the region. Only $160,000 was available through the Community Fund and Field of Interest funds. This work would not be possible without the incredible support of donors.
