Committees


We have a dedicated board of community members who represent the best interests of the community. This volunteer board assists in making effective decisions to meet the needs of the community.

In addition to the Board of Directors, community volunteers with expertise in specific areas serve on the various committees outlined below.

These committees serve to address specific areas of work the Foundation is engaged in and assist staff in key operational areas.


EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Committee acts for the Board as delegated and is responsible for developing the budget.


COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

The Communications Committee is responsible for all aspects of marketing and communications.


DONOR RELATIONS COMMITTEE

This Donor Relations Committee is responsible for all aspects of stewardship and donor relations, including major gifts and planned giving.


INVESTMENT AND AUDIT COMMITTEE

The Finance, Audit, and Investment Committee manages the financial aspects of the Foundation including budget, audit, and overall financial management including the Foundation’s investment portfolio.


GRANTMAKING COMMITTEE

The Grantmaking Committee accepts and reviews grant application from local charities. The Committee makes recommendations for grants, from the Community Fund, and presents these to the Board for approval.


HUMAN RESOURCES/NOMINATING COMMITTEE

The Human Resources Committee is responsible for board succession planning and human resources policy.


SPECIAL EVENTS/PHILANTHROPY IN ACTION COMMITTEE

The Special Events/Philanthropy in Action Committee is responsible for the planning and execution of the Philanthropy in Action Award Dinner.


RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS DAY COMMITTEE

The Random Act of Kindness Day Committee is responsible for the planning and execution of Random Act of Kindness Day.
