The Community Investment Coordinator manages the planning, execution, and evaluation of our various grant programs. This multifaceted role plays a vital part in supporting local charitable causes, responding to community needs, and adapting our programming to our ever-changing community.
We’re an endowment-based, charitable foundation that helps caring donors support community causes that enhance lives. Last year, we granted $775,000 in support of charitable causes, and over the past five years, we granted over $5.0 million to charities. Since 1956, we’ve served as the trusted link between donors and charities within the greater Fredericton region.

Key Responsibilities:
Administer grant programs: manage the full lifecycle of our granting process including coordinate applications, review and vet proposals, support the grant-making committee, prepare funding recommendations and board reports, manage the award process, and evaluate results and outcomes.
Act as the main point of contact for applicants & grant recipients, offering guidance on timelines, criteria, processes, and reporting.
Help to promote grant programs and curate impact stories and data for marketing and promotional purposes.
Manage the processes for collecting, compiling, evaluating, and analyzing performance data on funded strategies, programs, and initiatives.
Support the delivery and administration of scholarships and bursary programs.
Foster trusted relationships with participants and community stakeholders.
Engage with stakeholders to accurately and effectively assess community needs to guide the Foundation’s community investments and program offerings.
Actively support the development and execution of special events such as the For Good Forever Showcase, Kindness Week, and the Philanthropy In Action Celebration.
Provide back-up support to team members and carry out other duties as assigned.
qualifications
Education & Experience
Post-secondary education in business administration, non-profit management, administration or a related field.
Two to three years of experience in program delivery and/or an administrative role in a professional setting.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong computer skills including experience working with Microsoft Office, as well as project management and collaboration tools.
Excellent attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
Experience representing an organization, preferably in non-profit sector or foundation sector.
Experience managing and interpreting budgets and financial reports.
A demonstrated willingness to take initiative and lead by example.
A commitment to life-long learning.
Comfort working independently and as part of a team.
PREFERRED
Experience in grant making, grant proposal writing, or performance measurement.
Familiarity of the local charitable sector.
Lived experiences or knowledge that contribute to the Foundation’s purpose and mandate.
The salary range for this full-time position is $45,000-$55,000, plus competitive benefits package. This role is based in Fredericton, NB, and involves travel within our community. A valid driver's license would be an asset.
