Remembering Harrison: A Legacy of Hope

As we approach the first anniversary of Harrison's passing on March 30th, we reflect on the profound impact of his journey and the enduring legacy of hope and courage he left behind. Harrison's story is one of resilience, positivity, and unwavering determination in the face of adversity.

Harrison touched the lives of many with his infectious smile and uplifting spirit. Through his TikTok videos, he shared his battle with cancer with the world, offering messages of hope and encouragement that resonated deeply with his audience.

Despite the challenges he faced, Harrison remained determined to live life to the fullest, embarking on "bucket list" adventures and cherishing moments with loved ones.

One year after Harrison's passing, his legacy continues to shine brightly, thanks to the support of the Fredericton Red Wings Hockey Fights Cancer group. During their 2023-24 season, the Red Wings raised an impressive $13,000, with $7,000 directed to the Harrison Gilks Legacy Fund. This fund, held by the Foundation, ensures that Harrison's memory lives on through initiatives that positively impact our community.

Sonya Gilks, Harrison's mother, recently accepted the cheque from the Red Wings players, donning her Hockey Fights Cancer jersey in honor of her son. The Red Wings and the Hockey Fights Cancer group's generosity and dedication are truly commendable, and their contribution will help support meaningful initiatives that honor Harrison's legacy of hope and resilience.

We invite you to join us in honoring Harrison's memory and continuing his legacy of hope. Your support and contributions to the Harrison Gilks Legacy Fund make a tangible difference in the lives of those facing similar challenges.

Together, we can carry Harrison's message of strength, positivity, and love, ensuring his impact is felt for years to come.

Thank you to the Fredericton Red Wings Hockey Fights Cancer group and everyone who has supported the Harrison Gilks Legacy Fund. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated.
