Kindness Week is a national moment that invites communities to pause, notice, and celebrate the small acts that make a big difference.
Here in our community, it’s our chance to shine a light on the generosity, care, and neighbourliness that already exist all around us, at home, at work, in schools, and in everyday interactions.
This celebration only happens when our community says yes to kindness. And this year, we're inviting you to be part of it.
How Your Can Take Part

Choose a Kind Act
Kindness can be simple. Hold a door.
Pay for a coffee. Write a note. Support a neighbour. There’s no “right” way—
only what feels genuine to you. -
Take Part in Your Own Way
You can participate as an individual,
a business, a classroom, or an organization.
Acts can be public or private. Sharing
is optional, never required. -
Help Kindness Grow
Some people share their acts to inspire others. Some don’t, and that’s okay. Kindness still ripples, even when it’s quiet.
Selection Process
Each nomination must include the completed form and supporting materials. You can submit your nomination by email to info@fredfdn.ca or drop it off at our office 117 York Street, Suite 102, Fredericton, NB E3B 3N6.
All nominations are reviewed by a volunteer committee of community members who work independently from the Foundation to ensure a fair process. Here’s how it works:
Review: The Selection Committee carefully reviews all nominations to ensure they reflect the spirit of generosity and meet the eligibility criteria.
Evaluation: Each submission is discussed and evaluated based on the nominee’s impact, community connection, and spirit of giving.
Announcement: The recipient is selected and announced in February 2026.
Deadline: Wednesday, Thursday 15, 2026
