This summer, Madeline Messenger has joined the Fredericton Community Foundation as its student writer and resident storyteller.

Madeline is entering her fourth year at Queen's University in Kingston, ON, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Global Development Studies, along with a minor in Indigenous Studies. At university, Madeline is actively involved in various extracurricular activities, including volunteering with the Peer Support Centre, acting as the Fundraising Coordinator for Queen's Advocates for Women's Global Rights, performing with Queen's Students on Broadway, and playing intramural sports. She always looks forward to returning to Fredericton - her hometown - for the summer and has worked for the past 3 years with the Calithumpians Theatre Company.

As an avid lover of storytelling, volunteering, and engaging with the Fredericton community, Madeline is looking forward to writing meaningful stories about the inspiring donors and recipients of the Fredericton Community Foundation's grants. These stories aim to highlight the immensely impactful projects of various organizations and the donors who fund them, with the collaboration of FCF. This writing will be featured in the Annual Report, in newsletters, and on social media.

She is excited to begin this new role with the Fredericton Community Foundation and to further strengthen the organization's community connections through narrative.
