FCF Says Goodbye to Communications and Events Coordinator

The Fredericton Community Foundation is sad to announce that Lauren Sieben will be leaving her role as Communications and Events Coordinator effective August 16th, 2019. Lauren has decided to pursue her Bachelor of Education degree at the University of New Brunswick this fall.

Lauren was the first Communications employee that FCF employed full-time and was instrumental in shaping the role over the past two years. She took on the newly formed position in 2017 with enthusiasm and fresh ideas and worked those into her tasks everyday.

Executive Director, Kate Rogers notes that “Lauren has contributed so much to our organization and we’re very sad to see her go. However, we wish her all the best as she embarks on this next journey. I’m certain she’ll bring the same positive attitude and energy to her education and know that she will become a wonderful teacher.”

She helped transition our Random Act of Kindness Day into the highly successful Kindness Week, and contributed to the success of two years, including the 10th anniversary, of our Philanthropy in Action Award Dinner. She has liaised with many business, sponsors, donors, partner organizations over the past two years, keeping FCF’s focus on community collaboration top of mind in all of her work.

“I have learned so much in my time at the Fredericton Community Foundation, and I truly cherish all of the connections I have made over the past two years”, says Lauren, “It is bittersweet to be leaving, but I hope to stay involved in the Foundation through a number of other ways.”

Thank you Lauren for all of your hard work over the past two years, and we looking forward to seeing you become successful in the next phase of your life.
